Balmar 15-TSS Tach Signal Stabilizer is designed to ensure accurate RPM readings when installing a high-output Balmar alternator.

Balmar alternators use more internal poles than standard units, which results in a higher frequency tachometer signal at any given engine speed.

Unfortunately, most Yanmar tachometers are not adjustable, which means the RPM reading will be incorrect after upgrading to a high-output alternator.

To solve this issue, Balmar developed the Tachometer Signal Stabilizer. It converts the high-frequency signal from the alternator into a pulse.

This is compatible with standard 12V electric tachometers. Once installed, the signal stabilizer lets you fine-tune the tach output so it matches the actual engine RPM.

Because most Yanmar engines rely on the alternator for the tach signal, this device is essential when upgrading your charging system.
